About Gendering Practices

Gendering Practices is a master’s program at the University of Gothenburg. The programme is structured around the conviction that gendering practices is an interdisciplinary field, and that theory and practice are intertwined. The programme, as a whole, focuses on the complexity of “gendering practices” and the development of a meta-theoretical perspective on knowledge production. The overall objective of the curriculum is to build a platform for interdisciplinary encounters between different academic disciplines, generating new ways of understanding and working with gendered practices. Hence an emphasis has been put on an integration of core courses and courses specific to the different strands.
